Why do people rant about 2012?

On March 3, 2014

they say it wont happen, then why the movie, the bunkers built deep in the earth etc etc. Is it just hysteria or will MJ’s nose come and save the day?

Chosen Answer:

It sells copy. remember Y to K? Also the truth of God is written on our souls, so even those who try to deny it, know way down inside, that Jesus is coming back

  • Because humanity defines itself through its misery and fright.

  • Because they can….and really, the movie can’t surprise you. Its bound to make money and Hollywood wouldn’t turn that down.

  • It shows that hysteria lives just below the surface of our sanity and can be triggered by end of the world fears in the more susceptible minds.

  • It sells copy. remember Y to K? Also the truth of God is written on our souls, so even those who try to deny it, know way down inside, that Jesus is coming back

  • Because many ancient calenders end on that date. Many ancient cultures around the world have predicted that date to be the end of time.

But that doesn’t mean its true. Thats just when their calendars stop. Perhaps it is possible that the galactic alignment will occur on that day. But that doesn’t mean anything significant will happen.

Nobody knows the day or the hour. I believe God allowed man to predict future events, but I do not think he allowed any man to predict when the world will end, or when Christ will return.

  • People need some kind of drama in their lives; hence 2012.

  • But in 2012 Sarah Palin could be elected President.
And 1: that would definitely be a sign of the end times.
And 2: We’re dumb enough to elect her, you know we are…

  • it’s a myth but only God knows.

  • I have heard two theories about it. One they say thats when the star calender the Myans and Aztecs use end. The other one is that its 6 years, 6 months, and 6 weeks after 6/6/06. I thin, the world will end when it ends though.

  • The Apocalypse doomsayers needed something to do when Y2K turned out to be such a bust. 2012 was the closest end of the word they could find so they jumped on it.
