Is there any evidenceof the economy to show my friend that will help him relax or is America really doomed?
PLEASE READ ALL!! THIS IS IMPORTANT FOR MY FRIEND
We’re 20 years old, and boht average guys in college, working part time, commute to school, nothing major. Well my friend is always denying going out to chill, misses classes, and his parents are worried. He talked to me and we saw this film last week “Looper.” ITs about the mafia in the future and takes place in 2044 (not far off) in an economically desimated and collapsed America where China is the world power. He also saw an episode of doomsday bunkers where this economist Gerald Celente was on talking about the coming economic collapse of America. My grandpa is 90! He said things were WAYYYY worse in the Great depression, and without the war, there was a slow recovery from that. He said jobs are being added every month, and if people work ahrd and better themselves they can pull trhough since America is a great place.
My friends grandpa is around the same age, and a bit negative. HE said things in this naiton have been going downhill for decades, and governments never gonna fix it. HE said this I heard him say this to my friend “Lucky I’m dying soon, your world is going to be about survivng thats it. Good days are gone.”
My friend is so depresed and anxiety all the time from all of this, saying we have no future no matter how hard we work since the nation is in debt and we will suffer form those mistakes and never live good lives……is this true? Are we really doomed?
I do agree with Spooty, but I would include my friends in this equation too.
